The assistant writes documents, code, HTML and SVG to a side panel instead of reprinting them in the conversation. Revisions patch the existing document, which is faster to read and uses fewer tokens.
The model can pause to ask multiple-choice questions before answering an ambiguous request, then continues with the answers. Can be turned on per installation, plan and user.
Chat now generates images, videos, voice-overs and transcripts. Results appear inline, async generations resolve in place, an earlier image can be edited by reference ("make her jacket red"), and voice-overs come with an in-conversation voice picker with previews.
Opening a Writer template now asks its questions one screen at a time, then continues as a normal chat conversation with tools, Canvas and follow-ups. The filled prompt is never shown to users. Admins can set a recommended model per template.
Admin-authored templates for Imagine and Video, with preview and hover artwork, pinned settings, required input images and optional locking that keeps the prompt and model private. 39 image and 24 video templates ship with the app.
Users can share their image and video generations to a feed visible to everyone on the installation. Admins control the feature and a minimum-count gate so no one lands on an empty feed.
One click rewrites a prompt into a fuller one or writes a new one from scratch in the Imagine and Video composers. Admins choose the model and whether it is billed.
Every official plugin now ships its translations. Update each installed plugin to get them.
Enable languages, set the default and see translation completeness from Settings → Languages. New app:locale:extract, app:locale:translate (AI translator) and app:locale:build commands, plus translated JavaScript strings across the app. Updates now keep your own translation edits.
Each tool's history moves into the left sidebar, with rename, share, delete, open in new tab and read/unread status. Queued, processing and failed items are marked at a glance.
Every tool gets a consistent head bar with the item's title and actions, and a Details panel showing credits spent, the model used, generation settings and input images.
Account, security, capabilities, API keys, affiliates and workspace pages now live in one Settings section. Adds chat personalization instructions, "What should AI call you?", a news and offers preference and API key revoke.
Import Writer, image and video templates at any time from Settings → Starter content, or during installation. Also available as app:import:seeds.

The composers now match Chat, with quick setting chips that follow the selected model, @image reference tags, an expandable attachment row, and reference images saved with every generation so Remix restores them.
A contextual New button under the logo, a single merged workspace and account menu, and the Home item removed from the sidebar.
Confirmation dialogs name exactly what is being deleted, all dialogs share one style, and on phones they open as bottom sheets that can be dragged to dismiss.
Titles are written in the language of the content and read the full context. The title model is now one global setting under Settings → Features → Utilities instead of a per-plan option.
The Coder and Composer (music) tools are removed. Existing code and Writer documents are converted into chat conversations; existing compositions are deleted during the update. The legacy POST /api/ai/completions endpoint is removed.
This release also fixes a number of issues, including:
5.0 is a major release. Back up your files and database before updating, and download any Composer compositions you want to keep.
Update through the admin Update page as usual. Database migrations run automatically.
After updating, update every installed plugin. Plugins built for 4.x must be updated to work with 5.0.
Then review Settings → Languages, Settings → Features (Chat capabilities, Community, Utilities) and your plans, and optionally import templates from Settings → Starter content.
