Manual Tax Engine

Manual Tax Engine gives you full control over how tax is applied to your Aikeedo billing. Define a global default rate that applies to any customer who does not match a specific rule, then layer in country- and state-level overrides with individual named rates. Each rate can be a percentage or a fixed amount, and rules can include multiple stacking rates for jurisdictions that apply more than one tax.

Key features:

• Default tax rate: set a global fallback rate that applies when no country or subdivision rule matches the customer's billing address
• Country rules: create per-country overrides that replace the default rate for customers billing from that country
• Subdivision rules: add state or province-level rules for finer-grained control within a country
• Percentage and fixed rates: each individual rate can be a percentage of the billing amount or a flat currency amount
• Multiple rates per rule: stack several named rates within a single rule to model compound tax scenarios
• Zero-rating support: explicitly set a rule to zero to tax-exempt specific countries or regions
• Address-based matching: rates are applied based on the workspace's billing address, consistent with Aikeedo's billing system
