Aikeedo v4.0 is here β featuring Chatbots, a full Tax Layer, the Sources module, new payment gateways, and more. Our biggest release yet.
Three months. More than 500 commits. And the most requested feature in Aikeedo's history is finally shipping.
Aikeedo v4.0 is live.

This is the largest update we have ever released β not just in terms of feature count, but in terms of what it enables for the businesses built on our platform. Here is everything that is new.
Chatbots were the most requested feature we had never shipped β until now.
The new Chatbots plugin adds a complete chatbot builder to your platform. Once you install it, your users β the people subscribed to your AI SaaS β can build and configure their own AI-powered chatbots and embed them on their own websites to serve their own audiences.
Think about what that means for your business: you are not just giving users an AI workspace. You are giving them a tool they can deploy outward, toward their customers. That makes your platform significantly more valuable β and significantly harder to leave.
The use cases are immediately obvious: a marketing agency building a lead capture bot for a client's website, a small business owner setting up a support bot, a developer shipping a product assistant. All of it runs on your platform, under your brand, on your infrastructure.
The Sources module is the infrastructure that makes Chatbots (and Assistants) genuinely useful in real-world deployments.
It is a reusable RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) layer built into the core platform. Upload documents, PDFs, or other source materials once β then reference those sources in both Assistants and Chatbots. No need to re-upload the same files for every use case. No duplication.
If you are building Chatbots for a business β a company's internal knowledge base, a product FAQ bot, a client onboarding assistant β Sources is what grounds the AI responses in real, accurate content rather than generic model output.
Collecting tax correctly is one of the less exciting but absolutely critical parts of running a real subscription business. v4.0 introduces a full tax infrastructure layer, along with two plugins for calculating tax on purchases:
Both plugins handle tax calculation. The actual tax collection is handled by whichever payment gateway your platform uses.
For operators using Stripe with Hosted Checkout specifically, v4.0 also adds Stripe Automatic Tax Collection β a separate feature that lets Stripe handle tax collection end-to-end directly within the checkout flow.
For platforms selling internationally, this removes one of the main compliance headaches. The infrastructure is built at the core level, so future tax plugins and integrations will be able to build on top of it.
We added two new payment gateway plugins in v4.0:
If your AI SaaS business targets users in these regions β or if you are building a platform for clients who do β you now have native payment support without any custom integration work.
One of the more practical improvements in v4.0 is the redesigned Model Registry page. Admins can now add custom text models for built-in providers β OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, xAI, and others β directly from the admin UI, without touching source code or waiting for a platform update.
When a new model ships from any of these providers, you can activate it for your users the same day. That matters in an industry where new models release on a weekly cadence.
v4.0 also ships a set of improvements that collectively clean up the platform's rough edges:
Chat multi-file and image support. Users can now attach multiple files and images in a single chat message β a long-overdue quality-of-life improvement for research and document-heavy workflows.
End-user capability toggles. Users can now turn individual capabilities on or off directly from the chat interface, within the limits of their plan. More control in the hands of the user, fewer support tickets for you.
Stripe Hosted Checkout. Added support for Stripe's hosted checkout flow as an alternative to the embedded payment form, giving operators more flexibility in how they handle the purchase experience.
Duplicate and hide plans. Two small but useful admin features: clone an existing plan as a starting point for a new one, or hide plans from the public plan listing. Hidden plans are fully live β users can still subscribe to them β they just do not appear on the public pricing page. This lets admins create custom plans for specific users and share the checkout link directly, without exposing the plan to everyone.
Affiliate module improvements. New admin controls including a recurring commission toggle, a first-order-only toggle, configurable commission windows, and configurable cookie expiry. More precision for the operators running affiliate programs at scale.
v4.0 includes a several number of bug fixes and low-level improvements. A few worth calling out:

If you are evaluating Aikeedo for the first time, v4.0 is a good starting point β everything from Chatbots and the Sources module to the tax infrastructure and payment gateways is available out of the box.
