🚀 Aikeedo v5.2 is now available!

OCR (optical character recognition) extracts text from images and scanned documents, so that photos, scans and image-only PDFs can be searched, edited or read by an AI model.

Classic OCR recognised printed characters one by one. AI-based OCR models read whole pages, including tables, columns, handwriting and mixed layouts, and output clean text or markdown.

Without OCR, a scanned contract or a photo of a receipt is just pixels to a text-only pipeline: it cannot be embedded, searched or quoted.

OCR is especially important for knowledge bases, where many company documents are scans.

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) in Aikeedo

Aikeedo can read scanned PDFs and images with OCR providers such as Mistral and Jina, so their text can be used in chat and knowledge bases.
