🚀 Aikeedo v5.2 is now available!

Text-to-speech (TTS) is AI that turns written text into natural-sounding spoken audio in a chosen voice and language.

Modern TTS models are neural networks trained on many hours of recorded speech. They handle intonation, pauses and emphasis well enough for audiobooks, videos, ads and support lines.

Providers include ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Google, Azure and Speechify, each with a library of voices across dozens of languages.

TTS is usually billed by characters of input text, which maps cleanly to credits.
